GRAVEYARD KEEPER 2 Zombie lumberjack

Move logs from the sawmill to the factory.

Treat logging and transport as two jobs. Make the first delivery visible before adding more workers.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Open both ends of the Old Mine, unlock Zombie Lumberjack, and assign an axe-equipped worker at the sawmill. Assign a separate porter and select logs in its station’s goods list. Confirm a delivery reaches the factory wood heap.

Lumberjack → sawmill stockpile → porter with logs selected → factory wood heap

Check access before gathering station materials

The sawmill reference places it southwest of the Quarry. Its earliest access is marked unconfirmed; this guide does not promise an early-game shortcut.

  1. Quarry side: progress the Hans / Sven bandit dialogue and Larry’s follow-up to obtain Dynamite for the collapsed Old Mine entrance.
  2. Factory side: clear the mine blockage using 4 Building Kits I and 1 Reinforced Beam, with Building mastery 8. This side still depends on the Quarry entrance being blasted open.
  3. Check technology visibility: Zombie Lumberjack appears after both mine entrances are open. The listed technology follows Circular Saw and costs 75 red and 10 blue points.

If the technology is missing, inspect both blockages and quest dialogue before spending on other workshops. Use the Old Mine access reference ↗ to match the stage of your save.

Build the logger’s station and storage

Lumberjack stand2 Wooden Planks + 6 BricksAssign the logging worker
Timber stockpile4 Wooden Beams + 12 Bronze NailsLocal log storage
Porter Station2 Wooden Planks + 4 BricksAssign the transport worker
  1. Build the stand and local timber storage at the sawmill.
  2. Inspect the logging zombie and equip an axe. Put it at the stand.
  3. Watch for logs accumulating locally before diagnosing transport.

If its equipment needs attention, follow the tool and mastery check. More tool mastery and a relevant Logger talent are options to compare, not measured guarantees of an optimal rate.

Give the porter a cargo instruction

  1. Build the route’s station. Use the sawmill Porter Station, then assign a separate zombie.
  2. Select logs. Open the station’s goods list and enable logs. The porter reference says the default list has nothing selected; staffing the station alone does not choose cargo.
  3. Check the destination. Logs from this route go to the factory wood heap. Keep room there and observe one round trip.

A porter transports between locations. A Supplier Station serves local crafting benches; assigning a supplier at home does not enable this sawmill route.

Check both sides of one round trip

Success check: logs appear at the sawmill, the porter collects them, and the factory wood heap increases after delivery. Confirm that destination before building a dependent production line.

The supplied material describes access from the yard too, but the factory reference ↗ marks shared yard / factory heap contents as unconfirmed. Test a small withdrawal in your save; this guide’s verified-source route ends at the factory heap.

Expand the job that is falling behind

No logs appear at the sawmill

Check the logger’s assignment, axe and local storage. Confirm logging works before adding porters.

Logs accumulate, but the porter stays idle

Check that the route’s porter is assigned and logs are selected in the goods list. A full destination can leave items in its pack; free space and watch another delivery.

Transport works, but production still lacks wood

Check which heap the consuming recipe uses. Confirm a delivery at the factory first; do not assume the yard shares the same inventory.

Should I build a second porter or upgrade the sawmill?

As an editorial test, add transport only if logs repeatedly accumulate while a porter is active. The transcript’s suggested worker ratio is not a measured optimum. Its claimed extra logging stands from an upgrade conflicts with the archived reference; no upgrade-output promise is made here.

After the correction, repeat one delivery check. Then continue to the factory line guide when you are ready to consume the delivered materials.
