Check equipment before changing the body
You need: a worker you can inspect, a target recipe and a suitable tool. Open the worker’s Character view and compare the mastery category required by the recipe with its displayed stat.
| Job | Tool | Mastery to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Woodworking / mining | Axe / pickaxe, as the job requires | Building |
| Metalworking | Hammer | Smithing |
| Gardening | Shovel | Farming |
- Equip the required tool in the zombie’s view; carrying it on the Keeper is insufficient.
- Re-read the worker’s displayed mastery after equipping it. Compare against the selected recipe, not an unrelated skill icon.
- If below the normal recipe requirement, choose a simpler job or improve its equipment, then retry.
Success check: the worker meets the requirement and starts the queued task with inputs present. A higher stat alone does not fix an empty queue or blocked output: return to the idle-worker checks.
Spend the worker’s points, not the Keeper’s
The zombie has its own work-earned technology points and talent choices. Inspect that worker’s available points and the selected talent’s cost. Red skulls limit the number of upgrades it can support; they are not a substitute for those points.
Editorial workflow: choose a talent relevant to its regular job, check that both cost and capacity fit, then compare the same task before and after the upgrade. No fixed training payout or “re-seat every batch” routine is promised here: those transcript details lack a confirmed version and reproducible evidence.
Check the collar before adding red skulls
White skulls do not determine zombie talent capacity. Raising red skulls can create room for more talents, but the collar still sets a ceiling. Compare the collar table with the worker’s current red-skull count before preparing an injection.
Removing organs may reduce red skulls and disable recent talents without returning spent points. Record the worker’s current stats and equipment before altering it.
A later route: Injection for Zombies
Check the simpler option first: Solution for Zombies ↗ uses 1 Alcohol + 1 Preservative at the Formulation Bench, with Anatomy 6 and the Reanimation Liquid technology. It adds 1–3 red skulls by quality without Comet’s Tail. If talent capacity is your only goal, compare that option before crafting the injection.
The archived item reference lists Embalming III (150 red / 150 blue) and Anatomy mastery 8 for the formulation. Its recipe uses the Formulation Bench. Match these names and requirements to your current technology screen.
| Ingredient | Quantity | Acquisition route |
|---|---|---|
| Alcohol | 1 | Buy from the Apothecary after its tier-II stock unlock, or use a Distillation Cube. The Reanimation Liquid technology unlocks distillation after The Ingenious Gentleman Don Keyote; one listed recipe uses 1 Beer, 2 Clay Urns and 20 Fuel for 2 Alcohol, at Anatomy 3. | Preservative | 1 | Buy from the town alchemist, or combine Flour and Water at Laboratory I or better. Check ingredient requirements in the recipe. Preservative reference ↗ |
| Comet’s Tail | 1 | Buy from the town Apothecary or Gunter at the port; the reference lists no crafting recipe. Comet’s Tail reference ↗ |
- Inspect the target. Note red skulls and collar limit. Leave enough capacity for the injection’s displayed quality.
- Unlock and formulate. At the Formulation Bench, combine one of each ingredient. Check the resulting injection before using it.
- Apply at the embalming table. Place the worker on the table and put the injection in the table’s ingredient pocket. Select the injection operation and let it finish.
- Inspect again. The reference describes quality 1 / 2 / 3 as adding that many red skulls and removing the same number of white skulls, within the collar limit. Check the actual result in your save.
A higher-capacity body still needs earned points to purchase talents. This route does not guarantee faster production by itself.
Organ replacement needs an anatomy check
At an Autopsy Table, organs can be removed and inserted from your backpack. Learn the relevant organ technology first and check its Anatomy requirement: working below it risks destruction or Surgeon’s Error. For a body still awaiting resurrection, restore all six organs and meet the resurrection conditions.
No optimal organ combination is established by this material. Use the organ reference ↗ for the individual requirement before making a change.
Close the loop with the same job
Success check: inspect the changed stat or talent, return the tool, assign the worker, and complete the same small queue. Confirm output is collected and the next item starts. If the stat changed but work still stops, inspect supply and storage rather than repeating the body upgrade.
